By accessing this website, registering for, attending, exhibiting at, sponsoring, or participating in any Oil Sands Expo event (“Event”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Information
Oil Sands Expo reserves the right to modify event dates, schedules, speakers, programming, venue locations, exhibitors, networking functions, or other event details at any time without prior notice. While every effort is made to deliver the Event as advertised, circumstances beyond our control may require changes.
2. Registration & Payment
All registrations must be paid in full prior to the Event unless otherwise approved in writing.
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes.
Oil Sands Expo reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations at its discretion.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
All registrations, sponsorships, exhibitor bookings, and ticket purchases are final.
No Refunds
Oil Sands Expo does not provide refunds, credits, or exchanges for:
Delegate registrations
Sponsorship packages
Exhibitor booth purchases
Networking events
Add-on purchases
Missed attendance
Travel interruptions
Personal scheduling conflicts
Weather-related delays
Speaker or program changes
If an Event is postponed, registrations may be transferred to the rescheduled date at the discretion of the organizer.
4. Travel & Accommodation
Attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and guests are solely responsible for arranging and paying for:
Hotels and accommodations
Flights and transportation
Meals not specifically included
Travel insurance
Visa or border requirements
Incidental expenses
Oil Sands Expo is not responsible for any costs, losses, cancellations, or damages related to travel or accommodation arrangements.
5. Event Cancellation or Force Majeure
Oil Sands Expo shall not be liable for delays, changes, interruptions, or cancellation of the Event due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Public health emergencies
Venue closures
Labour disputes
Power or technology failures
Acts of terrorism
Civil unrest
In such circumstances, Oil Sands Expo reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel the Event without liability or obligation for refunds.
6. Photography & Media Release
By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded.
Oil Sands Expo may use event photography, video, and audio recordings for promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, and future event purposes without compensation or further approval.
7. Code of Conduct
All attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
Oil Sands Expo reserves the right to remove any individual whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or inappropriate without refund.
8. Liability
Attendees participate in the Event at their own risk.
Oil Sands Expo, its organizers, employees, contractors, venues, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
Personal injury
Property damage
Theft or loss
Business interruption
Travel disruptions
Indirect or consequential damages
9. Website Use
All content on this website, including logos, branding, text, graphics, and materials, is the property of Oil Sands Expo and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
Users agree not to misuse the website or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected through registrations, inquiries, or website use will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and used for event administration, communication, and marketing purposes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
